Karel Zeman's return to animated film came about through his fairy tales about the sailor Sinbad. In seven originally separate episodes, stylized after Persian miniatures, the protagonist happily goes through all the pitfalls to finally come to the realization that true love is more powerful than wealth. 
Great music by František Belfín and the voice of the narrator performed by Jan Tříska. Even the decades since the film's premiere have not diminished its charm...
