OHM SQUARE³⁰
20 years of label Polí5
Ohm Square is a Czech electronic band founded in 1996 in Prague. Initially a four-member project, over the years it has changed to a two-member project (singer Charlie One and musician Jan 2, expanded at concerts by jazz pianist Mirek Lacka) and their music has also shifted from the originally organic drum and bass, trip hop or breakbeat to more complex electronics. Ohm Square is characterized not only by a strong musical identity, but also by its original visual style, which is reflected in both their music videos and live performances.
The cult group is one of the most successful export music items from our country. It has a number of concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad, including performances at prestigious music festivals such as Sziget (where they shared prime-time on the main stage with Lou Reed and pop-anarchists Chumbawamba!), Amsterdam Dance Event or Popkomm.
