Květy
The band KVĚTY has existed since the beginning of this millennium. Over time, their sound has changed significantly. Starting from acoustic instruments, their focus shifted to a denser rock sound with frequent use of electronics. Although experimental and exploratory, their audience has grown to a very wide range. They are praised for their strong lyrics, rich arrangements, brilliant visual design of album covers, lively concerts, and the presence of humor.
The band has played hundreds of shows, including abroad (Serbia, Austria, Poland, France, the Netherlands, Ukraine). Among other awards, they have received the Vinyl Award and have won the Anděl Award three times in the Alternative Music category. The band has collaborated with the theater DNO, recorded music for a radio play, and composed and recorded songs for the TV series Svět pod hlavou (The World Under the Head), which was awarded the Czech Lion.
They also composed and recorded music for Jakub Šmíd’s feature film Na krátko (Briefly), as well as for the films Veterán(Veteran) and Marťanské lodě (Martian Ships).
Additionally, they have created many commissioned tracks for various compilation albums and projects.
