Between The Lines – Pavel Hrubý/Michael Nejtek/Dano Šoltis

A concert performance of an intimate and chamber solo project by saxophonist Pavel Hruby, which was nominated for the Anděl 2015 award in the Jazz&Blues category at the time of its release.

Between The Lines is a distinctive chamber jazz project featuring a trio of leading figures from the Czech contemporary jazz scene. Their music bridges the boundaries of modern jazz, contemporary classical music, and free improvisation. The self-titled album earned a nomination for the Anděl 2015 award and received widespread critical acclaim. It was ranked among the top five jazz albums of 2014 by Czech jazz critics, and music journalist Milan Tesař listed it among the top fourteen albums across all genres that year.

The trio has performed at renowned jazz festivals throughout the Czech Republic, including an appearance at the international Bohemia Jazz Fest in 2017.
