Baron Haze is a Czech-Slovak music project founded by vocalist Simona Hulej and bassist Marek Pach in Prague. The band blends a variety of genres, including world music, progressive soul, neo-soul, and jazz.

They have performed at prominent events such as Mladí ladí jazz at Jazz Dock in Prague and City Sounds Festival in Bratislava, where they shared the stage with internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Bill Laurance, a member of Snarky Puppy, as well as the American jazz ensemble The Baylor Project. In the summer of 2023, they appeared at the Mikulášsky Jazz Festival. Baron Haze was honored by the Slovak Jazz Society, receiving the SOZA Award for their original composition Stepping into the Light, while frontwoman Simona Hulej was recognized for her compelling vocal performance. Alongside a busy concert schedule, the band plans to release their debut album in 2024.

Baron Haze has recorded their first Live Session—a collection of five songs—at the renowned Studio Svárov, now available on YouTube. Their sound is defined by modern harmonic structures enriched with modal and jazz influences. While the vocal line remains central, the band gives space to instrumentalists who incorporate elements of improvisation. With bold experimentation, they explore the boundaries of jazz—not only in vocals but also in the dialogue between instruments.

The band is fronted by acclaimed Slovak singer and composer Simona Hulej, and includes Pavel Plašil on drums, Robin Galia on keyboards, and Marek Pach on bass.
